St. Marks Veterinary Hospital House Call Service
St. Marks Veterinary Hospital is committed to providing complete, convenient service for the loving pet owners who continually entrust their best friends to our care. For nearly 30 years, St. Marks Veterinary Hospital has served New York City, providing on-site veterinary care as well as house call service.
Why Veterinary House Calls?
Veterinary house calls are designed to make veterinary care more convenient for pet owners who have difficulty coming to our practice for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons may include:
- Nervous animals that do not travel well
- Exotic pets that are difficult to transport or should not be transported in certain weather conditions
- Geriatric patients who are more comfortable remaining at home
- Pets who have reached the end of their life and need a quiet passage
If you are interested in a veterinary house call for your pet, please contact our team to schedule a visit.
We are committed to providing compassionate care to our patients and their owners, and our house call service enables us to do just that. While many of our patients receive house calls for routine check-ups, this service is commonly utilized for at home pet euthanasia.
At Home Pet Euthanasia
Saying goodbye to a beloved companion is always a difficult experience, but the team at St. Marks Veterinary Hospital does our best to ensure a quiet, peaceful passage for your best friend. At-home pet euthanasias are performed by our team in the most humane, personal manner, offering you the opportunity to make your pet's final moments a beautiful memory instead of a clinical one. Our house call service allows your pet to remain in the comfort of their own home surrounded by loved ones, instead of subjecting them, or your family, to any disturbances at the veterinary office.
Honoring Your Pet After They Have Passed
In keeping with our desire to make each pet's final moments beautiful, we want to help you honor their memory after they have passed beyond the Rainbow Bridge. We can provide a number of options for you, including:
- Private cremation
- Group cremation
- Or, you may choose to retain possession of the remains for private, at-home burial
If you have any questions or concerns about at home euthanasia for your senior pet, please contact our team. We are here to provide compassionate service and are available to answer any questions you may have.
